Capture.

High-quality documentation of important events has more practical uses and lasting value than ever before. I look forward to helping you in that process.

We provide audio & video recording services of various events--from presentations to performing arts and more, such as:

  • Lectures, workshops, conferences

  • Dance, theater, and musical performances

  • Special events for Business, Arts, and Education

For scripted production services, such as promotional pieces, please visit our sister site www.MakeWaves.tv.

Where to begin

1. Determine your goals for the recording.

  • What end product(s) are we aiming for?

  1. Actual deliverables: Live stream? Raw footage? Edited master files?

  2. Level of production: From simple 1-camera documentation, to multi-camera production with audio & lighting systems, and a crew to operate it all.

  • The Audience:

    1. Who are they?

    2. How & where will they access the recording?

    3. What reaction/response are you hoping for?

  • What is the budget?

    1. Start with “all options on the table” to brainstorm creatively, but…

    2. Develop plans that are attainable within a realistic budget.

I am here to help you ask and answer these and other questions along the way.

2. I’ll have my own set of questions about the event and venue, such as:

  • What will the physical setup need to be, to yield the best results?

If the venue has been chosen, or especially if not, we must consider:

  1. Audio-Visual Needs:

  • The lighting

  • The visual backgrounds

  • The acoustics

  • The sound system, if any

  • The best vantage points, resulting backgrounds and sightlines

   2. Logistics, such as:

  • Workspace needs

  • Physical obstacles, including audience

  • Varying lighting conditions, reflections

  • Ambient noise

  • Electrical power, RF interference

  • Site access, parking, etc...

3. A budget and work schedule is agreed upon after thorough consideration and discussion of the variables mentioned above.

4. The “real work” begins.

  • Coming soon: a video will demonstrate and discuss further details.
